Junior Ski Package Program
David and Helen realize the costs involved for a family of skiers. Because of this they created a Junior Ski Package Program to help foster the growth of the sport and keep kids skiing. It is designed for kids age 5 – 12 years old. For $199 and up you can purchase an entire ski package for your child (skis, bindings and boots). Each year you trade that equipment in for $100 credit towards a new equipment package. It’s like leasing an entire ski package for your child for the season for $99 or so. They take the hassle and expense out of outfitting growing kids each year.
Free Bretton Woods Junior Season Pass
In addition to the extremely affordable junior equipment packages, every kid who gets a junior ski package is entitled to a free or low cost season pass to Bretton Woods. With Bretton Woods Ski area just a short drive up Route 93, the Bretton Woods Junior Pass Program is an awesome deal that more than pays for the cost of the equipment for the year. If you live or ski in the area and don’t do this program – you’re crazy!
The story behind the store
After successfully selling skis out of his truck in his college days, Lincoln local and Plymouth State grad David Rodgers decided to open a ski shop in 1981. With the help of his wife, Helen, and many dedicated long-term employees they have successfully grown the business year after year. Over the years Rodgers Ski & Sport has occupied many small locations in the town of Lincoln. Rodgers has been a fixture on the famous Kancamangus Highway that leads into the White Mountains and to Loon Mountain Resort. But they never really had enough space to sell everything they wanted to sell in one location.
Finally in 2007, Rodgers Ski & Sport opened the beautiful location they occupy today. In addition to this large main location, they also have a smaller outlet location just a short drive up the road. Rodgers Ski Outlet sells all previous seasons skis, clothing and gear. Rodgers Ski & Sport also has a small satellite store in Scarborough, Maine.
Don’t let the large building fool you. Rodgers Ski & Sport is a local, family owned and operated small business. A business that prides themselves on a thoughtful selection of products and high service standards. Consequently, Rodgers doesn’t sell online. They choose to focus on the person who walks in the door. As a result, they can offer that person the largest selection available and the most personalized attention. So next time you are in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, be sure to stop in. Rodgers Ski & Sport is open all year and also sells and repairs bikes in the summer.
