How do you know which pair of pants is for you?

With so many Arctica side zip pants to choose from, how do you know which pair is right for you? Here’s some information on function and fit to help you decide.

The Arctica GT Stretch Side Zip ski pants are the best Artica side zip pants for someone looking for the highest quality all way stretch side zip pants.

GT Stretch Side Zip Pants for Men and Women

The GT Stretch Side Zip Ski Pants are for the skier who wants nothing but the best. For the skier who likes a more trim fitting ski pant, this Arctica ski pant offers the convenience of full side zips paired with the comfort of 4-way stretch. Most ski pants are made with a polyester/lycra blend. These are made with our proprietary 85% nylon/15% lycra blend Flex20 all-way stretch fabric. Because of this you get a closer fit that is super comfortable. The Flex20 fabric is also super durable and doesn’t pill. Making accidental contact with the velcro on your jacket or gloves a non-issue. It’s also got a 20/20 Waterproof/Breathable rating, hence the name. Giving this fabric a minimum 20,000 mm waterproof and and 20,000 g/m breathable rating.

Ski racers like the GT Stretch Pants because they mimic the comfort and feel of skiing in just a speed suit. These Arctica ski pants are the least inhibiting in training. They enable ski racers to train in warmth and comfort without the weight of ski pants on.

As with all Arctica ski pants, the GT Pant will fit slightly smaller than a Spyder pant. If you ordinarily wear a medium in the Spyder Men’s Tarantula Pant or Women’s Empress Pant you will probably wear a large in the Arctica GT Stretch Pant. In addition to being sized smaller, these Arctica ski pants will have more of an ‘alpine racer’ look and fit. If you are looking for a trimmer, cleaner profile ski pant because you don’t like the bulky look of most ski pants, these are the Arctica ski pants for you.

The Blue Cheetah Animal Side sip pants are a fun way to stand out from the crowd.

Adult Animal Side Zip Pants

The skier who wears these pants is ‘the one to watch’.  Not for the shy, the Arctica Animal Side Zip Pants are for the skier who is confident in their skiing and not afraid to stand out from the crowd.

With four fun colors/prints there is an Arctica Animal print ski pant to match your every whim. Pink Cheetah, Blue Cheetah, Purple Croc and Black Croc -you decide which of these Arctica ski pants best represents your wild side.

Made of Arctica’s proprietary Dura10 fabric, they’ve got a minimum of 10,000mm waterproof 10,000 g/m breathable rating, making this a very reliable pant for most days on the hill. Our Heat40 insulation ensures you will be toasty warm too.

Available in a unisex fix, these side zip pants have a fuller fit than the GT pants, but not a loose fit by any means. Still considered more of a racer fit pant, they will also run small compared to a Spyder pant. So if you wear a small in Spyder, order a medium here.

These Arctica side zip pants offer a fun alternative to all the boring black side zip pants out there. When you want to stand out from the crowd, Arctica’s Animal Side Zip Pants are for you.

I am interested in the Women’s GT Side Zip Pants but am wondering about the sizing.
Do they tend to run small through the thighs? According to waist size alone, I would qualify as a small, but I have larger legs. Does the stretch compensate?

The women’s GT Stretch pant tends to run smaller through the waist and fuller through the hip. The stretch will definitely help compensate if there is any need for extra room in the thigh. But you may want to consider ordering a size up to be safe. These are a slim/alpine fit pant. If you have a curvy/athletic/hourglass build I would order a size up. If you are a wedge or rectangle body type the small will probably do fine. Here’s another blog post that might give you more information: https://arctica.com/blog/arctica-ultimate-skiing-apparel/

I bought the animal print pants online sadly before I read this post. When I got my snow pants they were too small even though I got a large. I now realize that they run small, but it frustrates me that they don’t at least come in an XL. I am by no means a big girl, but I have been ski racing all my life and have big thighs. If something runs small it should go up to an XL like your side zip pant 2.0.

Thanks for the feedback Brenna. We will take it into consideration. Determining which products/colors to make in which sizes is always a difficult task. Feedback from customers helps!
