My name is Taylor, I learned how to ski when I was 2 at Cascade Mountain. I started racing when I was around 6 years old. My first year of racing, I won my first medal and it drove me to want more. The next year I won 5 more medals, then 30 and so on. I have raced Junior Championships in Colorado four years and won All Conference in my High School league. For the past three years I’ve made All State and this year I placed 6th in the slalom at Eastern nationals
When I am not skiing I play softball on club teams, traveling all over the country. I play in the outfield, third base and catcher.
Besides sports, I work at the UW Madison Vet School where I work with Dr. Markel, Dean of the Vet School, in his orthopedic lab. In the lab I learn more about bioengineering and what we do to make our medical area more efficient.
Motivation
My peers drive me to always improve, but I also drive myself by challenging myself to become better as an athlete and a person in general. I come from a strong background, and am able to challenge and driving myself to be comfortable with the uncomfortable.
Goals
Win High School State, place top 10 overall at Eastern Nationals, place top 15 at FIS races and finish off my season on a high note.
Other Interests
Softball and working at the University of Wisconsin, Madison Vet School
